At a two month art retreat and visit with family in south west Virginia, USA, my brother got me a couple of ready-made canvases and a box of really good quality acrylic paint colours. I also picked up some wood off-cuts from his workshop, and other found objects, and just played with these.
I played with colours I'd had in mind for months, as well as images and symbols that were swimming around in me with no particular aim other than to be expressed physically.
